The earthquake that struck Sichuan Province on May 12^th, 2008 has so far claimed more than 19,000 lives across China, and thousands more people remain missing or trapped beneath rubble.

    The bodies are everywhere. Some are zipped inside white vinyl bags and strewn on the floor. Others have been covered in a favorite blanket or dressed in new clothes. There are so many bodies that undertakers want to cremate them in groups. People all over the country, all over the world, have heard the miserable crying from Sichuan, and couldn’t restrain tears.

    We, living in Dalian far away from Sichuan Province, could not arrive there in person to move shambles to free the buried, or rescue children to console the crying mothers. The only thing we can do is to donate money for rescuing them. On the date May 15^th, 2008, Dalian New Century Food Co., Ltd. offered RMB13,000 to the quake stricken people (including the Company’s RMB10,000, another RMB3,000 is from its employees).

    With candles in hands, we hope to light the road for those in darkness. We would always pray for them.
